Gayla earned her master’s degree in Public Administration from Baruch and has almost 20 years of experience in Law School Admissions. Before coming to CUNY, she worked at both UC Hastings, College of Law, and Southwestern Law School. Gayla is actively involved in the Law School Admissions Council and the Cystic Fibrosis Parent/Family Advisory Committee, and she founded the National Consortium of Public Interest Law Schools. In partnership with CUNY Law student leaders, Gayla was instrumental in helping to make CUNY Law admission more inclusive by removing questions about criminal history from the law school application process. She frequently writes and presents on the decriminalization of the law school admissions.
